Osun Govt Releases Impounded Vehicles During COVID-19 Lockdown

The Governor of Osun State has directed the release of all vehicles and motorcycles impounded for flouting the lockdown order. The Governor, Mr Gboyega Oyetola made the declaration in a statement signed by the Secretary-General to the State Government Prince Wole Oyebamiji.
According to the statement, the Governor has pardoned all those whose vehicles were impounded for violating the lockdown directives. The owner of vehicles seized should report to the different Police stations where their vehicles were taken. Proof of ownership should be available and the exercise will start Monday 18th May 2020 as from 12 noon. The gesture by Governor applies only to vehicle owners who violated the directives since the lockdown began to date.
The Governor has warned that anyone caught again will face the full wrath of the law. He also said that the guidelines by the State should be adhered by all citizens.
