AutoJosh has shared the side-by-side photo comparison between the British-made Rolls-Royce Cullinan and the all-new flagship Zeekr 9X – which is Chinese brand, Geely’s answer to the $350k-plus “Rolls-Royce of SUVs”.
“Our direct competitors will be Rolls-Royce and Maybach in the future,” the company’s Vice President of Global Design, Stefan Sielaff, told Forbes about how far he intends to take Zeekr into the luxury space.
“No guts, no glory,” Sielaff, a
former Bentley chief designer added.

While the Zeekr 9X’s exterior is no doubt heavily-inspired by Rolls-Royce Cullinan, the Chinese SUV’s commanding presence is highlighted by its 42,242 laser-engraved, diamond-cut lamp facets on the headlamps and taillights and an integrated front Grille that Zeekr calls the ‘world’s largest’.
In comparison, the front of facelifted Cullinan Series II is composed of simple feature lines and crisp edges, while the centrepiece is the illuminated Pantheon Grille and the Spirit of Ecstasy figurine (bonnet ornament), which is finished in Black in the black-trimmed variant.

Sitting on a Wheelbase of 3169 mm, the imposing 9X is 5239 mm long, 2029 mm wide and 1819 mm high while the Cullinan measures 5342 mm long, 2164 mm wide and 1834 mm tall with a wheelbase of 3294 mm.
The ultra-luxe Chinese seven-seater SUV is expected to be priced between ¥500k ($68,000) and ¥1m ($136,000) when it enters the market in Q3 2025 — which is just a fraction of the $350k-plus Rolls-Royce Cullinan.
