Photos Of The New Generation Mercedes-Benz CLA Has Been Released
Mercedes has released a set of photos of the new generation CLA model, which will (still with camouflage) be shown at the Hyères festival.
The new CLA was presented last year in a concept edition, while the production model will arrive in showrooms in 2025. In addition to the 4-door model, the offer will also include a Shooting Brake version.
Some sources unofficially state that Mercedes could first present an all-electric variant of the new CLA and that the petrol versions could arrive a little later. However, the exterior of the production model is expected to largely retain the look of the concept with a fluid, aerodynamic silhouette.
The CLA is built on the flexible MMA platform, which accepts both electric and internal combustion powertrains. While official numbers have yet to be released, the EV concept has a 175 kW/238 hp electric motor and a range that exceeds 750 km.
The production version will use an 800-volt system, allowing fast charging up to 250 kW. This will allow the sedan to achieve a range of 400 km within just 15 minutes of charging. In addition, the CLA will support Vehicle-to-Home (V2H) and Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) functions which will further increase its versatility and integration into the electric ecosystem.
As for the interior, the new CLA is said to combine minimalist elegance imbued with technology with practical functionality. Although the production model will feature a significantly toned-down version of the concept’s interior, it still boasts a futuristic cabin aesthetic. Key features include the MBUX infotainment system, which integrates a full-width display above the centre console.
The official promotion of the new CLA is expected in the coming months, so more details will follow.
