Police Recovers Abandoned Prado In Abuja, Urges Public With Missing Vehicles To Come For Verification - autojosh

FCT Police Command recovers abandoned Toyota Prado that was discovered during a routine patrol on December 31st.

Says the SUV has no Registration No while sticker showing engine and chassis No near the driver’s door has been removed.

Urges Public with missing vehicles matching the description of the recovered Prado to visit the FCT Command for verification.





The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has announced the recovery of an abandoned Toyota Land Cruiser Prado SUV that its operatives discovered during a routine patrol on December 31st 2024.

In a statement on Friday January 3rd 2025, FCT Police Spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh, stated that upon inspection, it was discovered that the Toyota Prado SUV had no registration number.

“On December 31, 2024, at about 11:30 AM, FCT Police operatives from the Durumi Division, while on routine patrol, discovered an abandoned Toyota Prado Land Cruiser Jeep along David Ejoor Street, opposite Adisa Estate, Apo-Gudu.”

Adeh also revealed that one silver-colored eagle insignia, some video/audio cables and one car stereo remote were recovered from the cabin during a thorough search of the vehicle.

“Further investigations revealed that the sticker showing the engine and chassis numbers near the driver’s door had been removed, and the windscreen appeared to have been recently replaced. The vehicle has since been towed to the FCT Police Command Headquarters in Garki II.”





“The Command calls on members of the public who may have cases of missing vehicles matching the description of the recovered Toyota Prado Jeep to visit the FCT Command for verification and possible recovery.”
