Reno Omokri Tackles Nigerian Celebrities Who Flaunt Exotic Rides But Complains About Fuel Hike
Reno Omokri tackles Nigerian celebrities who flaunt expensive rides online but complains about fuel hike.
Urged them to pay the current pump price or relocate to another country where fuel is being subsidies for rich people.
Reno Omokri, a former media aide to ex-President Goodluck, has tackled some Nigerian celebrities who had criticized the FG over the recent hike in the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), popularly known as as petrol.
President Bola Tinubu had on Monday May 29th during his inauguration speech declared an end to fuel subsidy regime. The move subsequently led to a hike in fuel price by some oil marketers from around N184 per litre to over N500/litre.
Reacting to development, Reno, who praised the president on the subsidy removal, noted that some of the celebrities complaining about hike in fuel price are known for showing off their numerous luxury cars online.
“Some of the people I see complaining of the removal of fuel subsidy and the sudden sharp increase in fuel prices have multiple cars. Some of them have come on this very Twitter to flaunt their latest brand-new luxury cars.”
Reno urged the unnamed celebrities to either pay the current pump price to fill up their numerous expensive rides or relocate to another country where fuel is being subsidies for rich people.
“My dear, why should a poor country like Nigeria be subsidising fuel for you, a yeyebrity with five vehicles that you use for flaunting, fronting and chasing girls? Go and pay! If you can’t pay, vamoose from Nigeria to any country that will tolerate subsidies for rich people.”
“It is because of your likes that previous subsidies never trickled down to people with low incomes who really need it. Oni iranu like you! You want Nigeria to become like Venezuela, an oil rich country that was ruined by cheap petrol!”
