Footage shows the moment a Russian-made Aurus Senat limousine like the one used by Vladimir Putin crashes into a Volvo. 

Russian automaker, Aurus, currently make vehicles to transport the country’s top officials and their motorcades.

Aurus is responsible for producing the armored Aurus Senat L700 limo used by Russian President Vladimir Putin. 

A car crash involving a Russian-made Aurus Senat L700 limousine and a Volvo XC60 has made many Netizens to praise the build quality of Swedish-made compact luxury Crossover SUV.

A footage caught by CCTV shows that the moment the Aurus limousine slammed into the side of the Volvo Crossover SUV.

The incident happened last month in central Moscow and according to Telegram channel Astra, the Aurus car likely belonged to Russian Orthodox Church head, Patriarch Kirill.





“The Aurus car, possibly belonging to Patriarch Kirill, got into an accident in the centre of Moscow.

“It is still unknown who was in the car. The Kremlin media write that the car belongs to Patriarch Kirill. The information has not been officially confirmed.”

Though the Aurus involved in the crash reportedly has the same license plate number with the one assigned to Kirill, a source from the Church denied these reports to state-run news outlet Interfax.

“Right now, the Aurus transporting Patriarch Kirill is pulling up to the Cathedral of Christ the Savior,” the said the source.

Footage taken at the seen of the crash shows a badly-damaged Senat with crumbled front while the Volvo received a dent on the driver’s side and deployed airbags.

The Russian automaker, Aurus, currently make vehicles to transport the country’s top officials and their motorcades. The company is responsible for producing the armored Aurus Senat L700 limousine used by Russian President Vladimir Putin during his inauguration in 2018.
