Tesla Delivered 1.31 Million Electric Vehicles In 2022, A 40% Increase Versus 2021
Tesla delivered a total of 1,313,851 vehicles to customers in 2022, which represents a 40% increase from 2021 deliveries.
Last year, all-electric car brand delivered 1,247,146 examples of Model 3 and Model Y, and 66,705 of its Model X and Model S.
In the fourth quarter of 2022, Tesla reported deliveries of 405,278 vehicles and production of 439,701 vehicles.
In 2021, Tesla reported 308,600 vehicle deliveries in the fourth quarter, and full-year deliveries of around 936,172 vehicles.

Tesla has released its production and delivery figures for the year 2022 and according to the all-electric car brand, a total of 1,313,851 vehicles were delivered to customers, which represents a 40% increase from 2021 deliveries.
The brands smaller models made up the majority of deliveries, with 1,247,146 of Model 3 or Model Y reaching the hands of customers in 2022 while 66,705 examples of Model S and Model X were also delivered.

Despite the computer chip shortage that has disrupted auto production around the world, a total of 1,369,611 vehicles left production lines in 2022, a 47% increase from the 930,422 motorcars the company managed to produce in 2021.
“Thank you to all of our customers, employees, suppliers, shareholders, and supporters who helped us achieve a great 2022 in light of significant COVID and supply chain-related challenges throughout the year,” said the company in a statement.

Last year, 1,298,434 examples of Model 3 and Model Y were produced while 71,177 units of the pricier Model S and Model X rolled off the assembly line. In the fourth, Tesla said it manufactured 419,088 Model 3 and Model Y variants, while 20,613 examples of the Model S and Model X were produced.
During the fourth quarter of 2022, deliveries of Model 3 sedan and Model Y crossover amounted to 388,131, while deliveries of Model S sedan and Model X SUV amounted to 17,147.
