The Nissan X-Terra Is Back For 2021 But With A Twist (Photos)

It’s apparent that we remember the Nissan X-Terra, a truck-based SUV that only lasted 2 generations. In the Asian market it lived on as the Terra but for 2021 the name X-Terra is born but only for the Middle-East market which is the twist. Like the X-Terra of old, this new model is based on the Navarra pickup truck.
On the exterior design, the new X-Terra takes its cues from the larger Patrol SUV (mostly at the front) and has a rear similar to the Rogue/X-Trail. The headlights and taillight are both LED with an upgraded grille that follows Nissan’s new design language. Overall, it looks great and has a modern approach both outside and inside.
Speaking of inside, the interior of the X-Terra is luxurious in its own way. It features premium black and light grey materials, creating a more upscale ambience. Once onboard, a 9-inch infotainment system will greet the driver as it comes equipped with Nissan Connect, Android Auto and Apple carplay. The seats are Zero Gravity and they offer best in class comfort for driver and passengers. The X-Terra also comes with an acoustic glass on both the windshield and side windows help keep out unwanted noise. Expect safety features like Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot Warning, Intelligent Forward Collision Warning, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, Intelligent Driver Alertness and Intelligent Emergency Braking (Platinum trim only).
The 2021 Nissan X-Terra will be powered by a 2.5-litre 4 cylinder engine that outputs 165 hp and 178 ib-ft. It comes with a 7-speed automatic transmission that has a 4LO mode for when the going gets tough. It’s a very capable SUV as it comes fitted with a limited-slip differential and an electronic locking rear differential.
