This Israeli-made CT-2 folding car can shrink in size to maneuver through heavy traffic, fit into tight parking spaces.

CT-2 measures just 1.4 metres wide while going 90km/h on open roads, but can shrink to 1 metre to maneuver through heavy traffic.

The microcar has a drive range of 75 miles to 112 miles (120 to 180 kilometers) before needing to recharge.

Starting at $17,400 (€16,000), the CT-2 is now available for pre-order worldwide for a down payment of $162 (€150).





Israel-based City Transformer is set to release its second-gen CT-2 folding car in July globally. Dubbed as ‘the world’s first adaptable car’, the company says that the CT-2 drives like a car and parks like a motorcycle.

In addition to boasting the safety and performance of a regular car, the two-seater all-electric microcar provides the maneuverability and easy parking of a motorcycle.

CT-2 measures just 4.5 feet (1.4 metres) wide while going 90km/h on open roads, but can shrink in size to just 3.2 feet (1 metres) to allow it to maneuver through heavy traffic and fit into a tight parking spaces.

CT-2 has a range of 75 miles to 112 miles (120 to 180 km) before needing to recharge. In addition, the company claims that the vehicle offers a ‘cleaner, smarter urban lifestyle’ by ‘reducing emissions and noise pollution.’

Starting at $17,400 (€16,000), the CT-2 is now available for pre-order worldwide for a down payment of $162 (€150). City Transformer says that it has already secured 1,000 orders for medical emergency teams in Israel, and has received another 1,000 pre-orders globally.
