Tiger Woods : 2021 Genesis GV80 SUV Is Where You Want To Be In A Crash, Earns Top Safety Pick+
2021 Genesis GV80 just earned a Top Safety Pick+ award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, weeks after saving Tiger Woods life.
GV80 features 10 airbags, a forward-collision warning system, and evasive steering technology.
It also features an interior camera that warns the driver if they fall asleep as well as a black box.

The 2021 Genesis GV80 crossover has been in the safety spotlight ever since Golf legend Tiger Woods had a crash while behind the wheels of the 4-door SUV.
Before the crash, the GV80 had no safety ratings from the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration (IIHS). But now, the luxury SUV has gotten the highest stamp of approval after earning a Top Safety Pick+ award in IIHS testing.

The Genesis G80, as well as the G70 and G90 sedans were among more than 90 vehicles to achieve that honor, 50 of which got the stricter TSP+ designation.

All the crash tests performed on the GV80 returned the highest-possible “Good” ratings. This includes the GV80’s front crash prevention systems for both vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-pedestrian tests.
The 2021 GV80 comes with loads of modern safety features, including 10 airbags, forward-collision warning system, and evasive steering technology. It also features an interior camera that warns the driver if they fall asleep as well as a black box.
The Genesis GV80 has a MSRP starting price of $48,900. It competes with cars like the Jeep Grand Cherokee, the BMW X5 and the Mercedes GLE.
