When Lamborghini Huracan gifted to Pope Francis sold for $862,000 in 2018, with all the proceeds donated to charity. 

After receiving the gift in November 2017, Pope Francis not on blessed the car but also put his signature on the bonnet of sports car. 

Lamborghini was painted in Bianco Monocerus (white) with Giallo Tiberino (yellow) stripes to reflect the colors of the Vatican flag.





70 percent of the proceeds went to Nineveh in the Republic of Iraq, a city attacked by terrorist group, ISIS.

Remaining 30 percent was shared between Friends of Central Africa, Pope Francis House Project and the Pope John XXIII Community.

The whole world continues to mourn the death of Pope Francis (born Jorge Mario Bergoglio), the head of the Catholic Church and sovereign of the Vatican City State, who passed away on Monday April 21st at the age of 88.

Back in May 2018, a custom Lamborghini Huracán RWD Coupé that was gifted to Pope Francis was sold for a cool price of €715,000 (approximately $862,000 at the time) at the RM Sotheby’s auction at the Grimaldi Forum in Monte Carlo.





In photos taken moments after receiving the gift in November 2017, Pope Francis not on blessed the Huracan but also put his signature on the hood of sports car, which is painted in Bianco Monocerus (white) with Giallo Tiberino (yellow) stripes to reflect the colors of the Vatican flag.

The amount paid to owned the blessed Lamborghini was more than four times the retail price ($199,800 at the time) in the U.S., with 70 percent of the proceeds going to Nineveh in the Republic of Iraq, a city attacked by terrorist group, ISIS.

The remaining 30 percent was reportedly shared between “Amici per il Centrafrica” (Friends of Central Africa), “Progetto Casa Papa Francesco” (Pope Francis House Project) and the Pope John XXIII Community Association.
