German luxury car manufacturer, BMW, has revealed the all-new BMW XM Label Red, which is a more powerful version of the high-performance BMW XM SUV that debuted last year as the brand’s most powerful M model.

First previewed last year, the BMW XM Label Red differentiates itself from the XM with Toronto Red exterior accents, which can be seen around the kidney grilles, windows, wheels as well as a red badge in the driver-side kidney grille.

The red accents continue inside, where there’s a “1/500” inscription, likely denoting that the BMW XM Label Red will be limited and available to just 500 customers to ensure exclusivity.

The XM Label Red uses the gasoline-electric plug-in hybrid powertrain from the base XM, which makes 738-hp and 738 pound-feet of torque, which is slightly higher than the 644-hp in the standard XM.

BMW claims that the ultimate M, will reach 60 mph from standstill in 3.7 seconds and reach an electronically limited speed of 155 mph (250 km/h) or 175 mph (282 km/h) if owners opt for the optional M Driver’s Package.

BMW hasn’t announced pricing yet, but the XM Label Red model is expected to start somewhere in the region of $200,000. In comparison, the BMW XM that the XM Label Red is based on starts from $159,995.

The XM Label Red will debut at the Auto Shanghai international motor show between 18 Apr – 27 Apr 2023, while production will begin in August 2023 at the BMW Group Plant Spartanburg in South Carolina.
