Lumma Design Showcases Wide-body Land Rover Defender (Photos)
Since the launch of the latest Defender, most tuner companies are churning out different kits and Lumma Design has showcased their version. Well, it’s in a render phase, but the real deal will have this look because it is based on the forthcoming flagship V8 Defender. The V8 Defender probably called SVR will be launched next year and it promises to produce more than 500hp.
The body kit starts with flared front and rear wheel arches that increase the off-roader’s width by about 1.57 inches (40 mm). Additionally, the tuning company has overhauled the front fascia of the Defender with a new carbon fibre grille and a re-modelled bumper. A bespoke hood with a large power bump finished in exposed carbon fibre is fitted. In addition, 19 or 23 inches wheels that can be paired with on- or off-road tires are fitted. This addition will depend on the customer’s preference. Rounding off the kit is a roof panel with two integrated spotlights, bespoke side skirts. A customized rear end with quad tailpipes and a new bumper complete the package.
The interior although not pictured will not be left out from the goodies. These include aluminium pedals and personalized floor mats. Expect also premium leather and other interior improvements to make the Defender stand out. Lumma will also work on the engine too and it may produce more hp than the already impressive 500 plus hp.
