Nissan Unveils NV350 Caravan Office Pod Concept, A True Mobile Office

Working from your car has never sounded so liberating thanks Nissan’s latest concept. Based on the NV350 Caravan, the “Office Pod” is the perfect business camper for the pandemic. This van’s cargo area features a desk and office chair and is perfect for the freelance designer or photographer taking a year to ‘discover themselves’ on the open road. There are enough power outlets to run a computer, charge a cellphone, and brew some coffee.
The best feature, by far, though is the sun deck up top. Complete with parasol and wicker lounger, it’s the perfect place to escape to for your lunch break, or after a long day of sliding you heavy office out of the back of your NV350 Caravan. The only thing it doesn’t seem to come with is coworkers who will steal your lunch out of the fridge and say they never saw it while sipping coffee out of your favourite mug. The van also features a golf ball-like exterior with a scallop-like pattern along its sides, which sits above the slightly widened fender extensions.
For now, the Office Pod is just a concept, though seeing it enter production wouldn’t be surprising. Camper vans and the such continue to be popular, and Nissan’s Office Pod is a neat little creation that packages a cool feature in an interesting way. It’s easy to imagine the NV350 with the Office Pod set up in the wilderness next to a campfire while you toil away at your workstation that’s hanging out the bank. There are worse ways to spend a workday.
