GOV. Sanwo-Olu Presents Car Gifts To 13 Outstanding Teachers At The Lagos State Teachers Merit Award

Lagos State Governor Sanwo-Olu presents car gifts to 13 outstanding public school teachers at the Lagos State Teachers Merit Award.

The car is Trumpchi GA4 (GAC GA4) compact sedan produced by GAC Group under the Trumpchi brand.

Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Tuesday, March 30, presented car gifts to 13 outstanding teachers at the Lagos State Teachers Merit Award 2020.

This year’s Lagos State Teachers Merit Award 2020 was held at Lagos House, Alausa, Ikeja, on Tuesday, March 30, 2021.

Also present at the well-attended event includes the Lagos State Deputy Governor, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat and Commissioner for Education, Mrs. Folashade Adefisayo.

GOV. Sanwo-Olu presents car gifts to 13 outstanding teachers at the Lagos State Teachers Merit Award

Others are the Board Chairman, Lagos State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM), Mrs. Elizabeth Ariyo and the Chairman, the State Universal Basic Education Board (LSUBEB), Hon. Wahab Alawiye-King.

According to an earlier statement by the State Commissioner for Education, Mrs Folasade Adefisayo, the 13 teachers were among the 23 semi-finalists selected from the over 3,000 applicants who applied for the State’s Merit Award.

The car presented to the outstanding teachers is the Trumpchi GA4 (GAC GA4), a compact sedan produced by GAC Group under the Trumpchi brand.

While “the best of the best that applied were awarded 13 cars”, the remaining 10 from the 23 finalists were honoured with consolation prizes like deep freezers.
