Secure Your Loads : Metal Pole Launched From Truck Crashes Through SUV Windshield, Misses Driver
A 4-foot-long metal pole launched from a pickup truck crashes through SUV windshield, narrowly misses the driver.
Drivers advised to always secure their loads no matter how short the journey is or how heavy the items.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety has advised drivers to always secure their loads after a metal pole fell off from a pickup truck in Phoenix, crashing into a white Nissan SUV behind the truck.
According to a Facebook post on Thursday, the metal pole come off when a pickup truck hauling a trailer hit a bump on Arizona State Route 51.
The roughly 4-foot-long metal pole ended up piercing the center of the windshield of a Nissan sport utility vehicle directly behind it. The pole ended up lodged between the Nissan’s center back seat and the roof.

Luckily, the woman driving the Nissan, Mandy Poff, was not injured during the incident, although, the windshield glass “showered down” on her. She told reporters that she’s terrified to get back in her car.
“I can picture it coming by my face and that feeling — that’s hard to get out of your head,”

She added that :
“I remember the paramedics telling me, ‘I can’t believe you’re alive. I can’t believe you made it through this”
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the driver of the truck did not stop after the incident and has not been located.

The public safety department advises drivers to always secure their load no matter how short the journey is or how heavy the items.
“Road debris poses a serious hazard to everyone on the road, from other motorists to the law enforcement and road maintenance crews that go out to retrieve it,”
“No matter how short the drive or how heavy the items, please take the time to secure your load before every trip!”
