Toyota Announces Sales, Production, and Export Results For The First Half Of 2021
Toyota announces sales, production, and export results for The First Half (January to June) of 2021.
Global sales in the first half of 2021 were 5.005 million units (up 32.7 percent compared to 2020).
This impressive result was driven primarily by sales in North America (especially US) and China.
Sales in the U.S. were driven by the sales of Highlander, Venza, and the Camry.
Sales jn China, were driven by the sales of Corolla, Levin, Camry, Avalon, and Lexus brand vehicles.

Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC), the world’s second-largest carmaker, has posted its sales, production, and export results from January to June of 2021.
In the first half of 2021, the Japanese automaker sold 5.005 million units (up 32.7 percent compared to 2020 and up 4.5 percent compared to 2019). Sales outside of Japan were 4,188,762 (36.9). This result was driven primarily by sales in North America and China.
Sales in North America (especially U.S.) were driven by solid sales of light trucks including the Highlander, HEVs including the Venza, and sedans including the Camry.

In China, the market was solid and sales of the Corolla, Levin, Camry, Avalon, and Lexus brand vehicles were very strong.
In terms of production, approximately 4.517 million units were built in the first half of 2021 (up 36.3 percent compared to 2020 and down 2.7 percent compared to 2019)
This result was driven primarily by production in China where strong sales of the Levin, Avalon, and other models contributed to the production results.
Toyota subsidiaries, Daihatsu Motor Co., Ltd. and Hino Motors, Ltd, also sold 386,933 (18.6) and 75,660 (13.0) units of vehicles in the first half of 2021 respectively.
