How to Replace Spark Plugs in Your Car
Spark plugs in most cars need to be replaced after 30,000 miles. However, to see if your car is any different, you should consult your owner’s manual.
Changing your spark plug may appear to be a difficult task. Well, it’s not that difficult. It’s a straightforward procedure that will require you to set aside some time and patience. Do not rush since the replacements must be installed in a certain order.

You will need a ratchet or socket wrench, a 12-inch socket extension, and new spark plugs to replace the spark plugs. The complete procedure is expected to take 20 to 30 minutes.
Of course, if you’re not comfortable doing it yourself, you may hire a mechanic to perform it for you.
Here are the basic procedures to changing the spark plug in your vehicle.
Know How Many Plugs There Are
Depending on how many cylinders your car has, you’ll locate four, six, or eight plugs.
Locate your car’s spark plugs
Make sure you know where your spark plugs are. They are frequently joined to thick rubbery wires.

Disconnect the wires from the plugs
Only the wire to the first spark plug should be removed. Remove only a few wires at a time. Your spark plugs are fitted in a specific order that you must follow.
The first spark plug should be removed
To remove the first spark plug, use your ratchet’s spark plug socket and extension.
Replace the spark plug
Install the replacement spark plug by hand first, then tightening it with a wrench to ensure a proper fit. Do not over-tighten or over-screw it.
The spark plug wire should be reattached
Each spark plug should be replaced in the same manner.
