Austrian Based Automobile Manufacturer Launches Its 2,200 Hp Vayanne Electric Hypercar
An Austrian startup company Deus has launched an electric hypercar with some staggering performance numbers at the 2022 New York International Auto Show. The hypercar is called the Deus Vayanne, and industry stalwarts Italdesign and Williams Advanced Engineering are involved in the development.
According to the automaker, the Vayanne will make more than 2,200 hp (1,640 kW/2,230 PS) thanks to a vehicle platform created by Williams Advanced Engineering, which should allow it to accomplish some pretty impressive feats. The car is able to hit 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 1.99 seconds and then continue accelerating all the way to a top speed of more than 248 mph (400 km/h).
Both the front and rear designs resemble the infinity loop, which is unlike any hypercar we’ve seen before. This shape is perfect for providing airflow to the cooling system and keeping with the company’s design goals.
“At Deus, design is not merely about the looks, it is an integrated concept that reflects the marque’s main credo: to effortlessly combine exquisite design and functionality with cutting-edge technology in the EV hypercar segment,” says Adrian-Filip Butuca, head of design at Deus. ”
Inside, meanwhile, DEUS has not opted for a vegan interior but has chosen the most sustainably produced leather it can find because of what it calls a commitment to zero waste for a circular economy model. A fully digital instrument cluster and control display, meanwhile, mark this out as a thoroughly modern vehicle and trim pieces that appear to be sinking into infinity help define the interior of the car.
There’s still a lot of development to be done as Deus is planning for deliveries to start only in 2025, so put away those chequebooks for now. Production is to be limited to 99 units.
