Dodge Assures The Durango Hellcat V8 Will Live On For Another Year

The Dodge Challenger and Dodge Charger will go out of production this year, which will also mean the end of two models available with the ‘Hellcat V8’. Remarkably, however, this does not mean the end of the V8 at Dodge.
The last hour seems to have almost struck for the now famous 6.2-liter Hemi V8 with a supercharger that we know as the Hellcat. Dodge will soon put an end to the Challenger and the Charger, which means that two of the three Dodges that are still available with that V8 will suddenly disappear. And while the Hellcat was most at home in those two muscle cars. The third Dodge that we know with the Hellcat V8 is the Dodge Durango, an SUV. What seems; it is precisely the Durango that will keep the Hellcat alive at Dodge for a while.
Dodge announces that it will again place the Dodge Durango on the order list as an SRT Hellcat in the new model year. In that respect, he will have the state to himself next year. The Dodge Durango is, just like its lower brothers, an impressive sprinter with that engine. From 0 to 97 km/h (60 mph) is completed in 3.5 seconds and the top speed is 290 km/h. There is another model available with the 6.2 V8, but for that, you have to go to Ram. That still feeds him into the Ram 1500 TRX. It may eventually become the very last car that is still available with it.
