Aston Martin and British titanium bicycle leader J.Laverack have partnered to create ‘J.Laverack Aston Martin .1R’, which they dubbed “the most bespoke” and “the most engineered bicycle ever created.”
Featuring a ‘visually boltless’ design, the Bespoke-built two-wheele uses a 3D printed titanium lugs and sculpted carbon fibre tubes – which ensures the frame deliver an exceptional blend of response and comfort.
Oliver Laverack, Co-founder of J.Laverack Bicycles, said:
“Working with the team at Aston Martin has unlocked new ideas and innovations, the application of which has created a bicycle more advanced than anything currently available on the market.
“Every component is designed to be part of the whole and to marry perfectly with the adjoining elements, achieving an unsurpassed degree of integration, which lays the foundation for the J.Laverack Aston Martin .1R’s boltless design.”
Described as a titanium hypercar on two wheels, the bespoke hypercar-inspired Laverack Aston Martin .1R bicycle doesn’t have a single exposed cable or visible hose.
Marek Reichman, Executive Vice President and Chief Creative Officer at Aston Martin, said :
“The simple, clever genius is how we’ve fused the engineering advancements throughout the bike with a purity of performance design to deliver a viscerally exhilarating riding experience.”
According to Aston Martin, each owner will be invited to its headquarters in Gaydon, where they will be provided with limitless opportunity to customise their uniquely personal .1R bicycle.
In addition to selecting the exact same colour palettes available on Aston Martin’s cars, customers will be able to specify their dream version of a .1R, courtesy of Aston Martin’s multi-award-winning online configurator.
Each of the bespoke-built J.Laverack Aston Martin .1R will have components parts such as hubs, cranks and frame numbered – to link them with their owners. In addition, each bicycle will also be supplied with a unique set of tools.
Aston Martin didn’t reveal the price of the bespoke ‘J.Laverack Aston Martin .1R’ bicycle, but a non-bespoke model without any add-ons by J.Laverack cost as much $5,600 and $9,400.
