JLR Sold 101,043 vehicles betw Oct-Dec 2023, sees high demand for N350 million Range Rover, Range Rover Sport and Defender.

During the three-month period to 31 December 2023, wholesale volumes reached 101,043 units (+27 percent).

Between October and December, sales of Range Rover Sport, new Range Rover and Defender up +49%, +12% and +14% respectively. 

Demand for Range Rover, Range Rover Sport and Defender models remains strong, accounted for 76% of the orders.





Retail volumes higher in all regions year-on-year : Overseas up 56%, North America up 32%, Europe up 16%, UK up 9% and China up 7%.

JLR this week reported an increase in sales volumes as well as high demands for its most profitable models during the third quarter of FY24 (i.e the brand’s three-month period to 31 December 2023).

During this period, wholesale volumes reached 101,043 units (excluding the Chery Jaguar Land Rover China JV), up 27% compared to the same quarter a year ago and up 4% compared to the quarter ended 30 September 2023.

Between October and December, 16,921 (+49%) units of Range Rover Sport were sold, 18,843 (12%) new Range Rover were delivered to customers, while Defender sales reached 27,117 (+14%), compared to the quarter ended 31 December 2022.

According to the British luxury marque, demand for the flagship Range Rover – which starts at N350 Million in Nigeria, Range Rover Sport and the Land Rover Defender remains particularly strong, representing 76% of the order book.

Retail volumes were higher in all regions year-on-year, according to JLR with home market (UK) sales up 55%, while sales in overseas, China, Europe and North America were all up by 49%, 28%, 27% and 6%, respectively.

Wholesale volumes for the financial year to date were 291,113, up 28% compared to the prior year. Tata Motors-owned luxury marque said it will report full financial results for Q3 FY24 at the beginning of February.
