FCT Police Command Arrest Two For Car Theft, Recovers 5 Stolen Vehicles

Operatives of the FCT police command arrest two for car theft, recovers 5 stolen vehicles and charms.

Vehicles recovered from the suspects includes a Pontiac Vibe, Toyota Corolla and two Honda Accords.

According to the command, the suspects have been on the wanted list of the command for the past few months.

The suspects were trailed and arrested in a hotel in Nasarawa while lavishing the proceeds of their crimes.

The operatives of the FCT police command on April 23, 2024 arrested two notorious robbery kingpins in connection to a series of car thefts from unsuspecting residents in FCT and its environs.

According to the command, the suspects, Ibrahim Haliru, who is an ex-convict, and Babangida Mohammed, have been on the wanted list of the command for the past few months.

The suspects were reportedly trailed and arrested with the aid of digital reconstruction intelligence in a hotel in Nasarawa while lavishing the proceeds of their crimes.

Exhibits recovered from the suspects includes five (5) vehicles and myriads of items reasonably suspected to be charms. Vehicles recovered includes a Pontiac Vibe, Toyota Corolla and two Honda Accord sedans.

While urging residents to take all necessary steps in protecting their valuables, the commissioner of police in FCT, CP Benneth C. Igweh, reaffirms his unwavering commitment to ensuring the safety and security of life and property of the residents of FCT.
