Lagos-based Nord Motion delivers 120 battery-powered tricycles for “Electric Tricycle Project for Women” in Kano State.
The 120 battery-powered tricycles (Keke Marwa) is for the exclusive use of women transporters in Kano state.
The start of delivery of the battery-powered tricycles was made known by Nord CEO, Mr. Oluwatobi Ajayi.
Sterling Bank-backed Qore Mobility, in partnership with gender-based Mata Zalla and Yar Baiwa Cooperative Societies, has launched 120 battery-powered tricycles for the exclusive use of women transporters in Kano state.
In addition to empowering female riders in Kano state, Qore Mobility’s initiative focuses on accelerating the adoption of cleaner, safer and more sustainable transportation in the State.

The start of delivery of the electric tricycles was made known by Mr. Oluwatobi Ajayi, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Nord Automobiles, who was at the event held at Meena Events Center in Kano State on Tuesday May 21st.
According to Oluwatobi Ajayi, the 120 battery-powered tricycles, popularly known as Keke Marwa and Keke NAPEP, were assembled by Nord Automobiles in Kano State.
“I am proud to see @nordmotion demonstrate our competence as the technical partner of the very important Mata Zalla X Yar Baiwa Electric Tricycle project for women.
“I am so happy to see the women who are benefiting from this smiling and congratulating each other. More good things to happen.
“Amazing job from champions of this project @myqoray and all other partners. Over 100 units of Electric Tricycle ready to be delivered to women, more to come.”
