21 year old ‘thief’ crashes stolen Rolls-Royce Cullinan after losing control of the N1.5 billion ultra-luxury SUV.

After receiving a report about the stolen vehicle, officers spotted the SUV prior to the crash – though they noted it wasn’t been chased.

Rolls-Royce owner, who woke up to find that his $400k SUV had been stolen, said he wasn’t surprised cos people like to steal nice things.





A 21 year old thief joyriding in a stolen Rolls-Royce Cullinan crashed the ‘Rolls-Royce of SUVs’ into a Checkers restaurant in Fort Lauderdale last December after losing control of the SUV worth over $400,000.

Following the crash, the suspect, identified as Malik Patterson and reportedly unharmed, tried to flee but was found a short time later by officers and arrested.

According report, the suspect stole the six-figure luxury SUV from a valet area at the Hilton Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort at about 2:15 a.m., where the owner was quietly asleep.

After receiving a report about the stolen vehicle, Detective Ali Adamson said that the Rolls-Royce was spotted by officers prior to the crash – though he noted that officers were not pursuing it.





Speaking to Local 10, the Rolls-Royce owner, who woke up to find that his $400,000 SUV had been stolen, said :

“I’m definitely not shocked. It’s a Rolls-Royce—people like to steal nice things and go for a little joyride,” adding, “This joyride didn’t end too well for this guy. He’s locked up, and the car is totaled.”

Luckily, no one was injured in the crash. But the aftermath shows the pricey ride with a heavily damaged front end while an extensive damage was also done to the restaurant.

Per Local 10 report, the suspect now faces charges of vehicle theft, resisting an officer without violence, fleeing and eluding police, leaving the scene of a crash resulting in property damage and felony probation violation.
