Due to the possibility of backup camera failure, Honda is recalling 59,887 SUVs. Inadequate bonding of the rearview camera housing in the cars may result in the adhesive separating and allowing moisture to enter the camera assembly.

The 2024 Acura ZDX and the 2024–2025 Honda Prologue electric SUVs, which are connected to General Motors’ EVs, are affected by the recall. Moisture can destroy internal electrical components once it gets inside the casing, which could lead to a display that is fuzzy, distorted, or blank.

In May 2024, Honda started looking into the possible problem, and a month later, it started working with General Motors. Since then, the two have been keeping an eye on the possible issue by examining market data and returned parts. Honda decided to carry out a safety recall in early May 2026 after discovering a motor vehicle safety flaw.

The Japanese carmaker claims to be aware of 2,411 warranty claims pertaining to the issue, but it is not aware of any incidents, fatalities, or injuries brought on by the malfunctioning camera. The recall notice states that Honda will swap out the camera for a better component.
