Lamborghini Sterrato To Cut Across Multiple Models
The Lamborghini Huracán Sterrato was an unexpected success, and recent comments from the brand suggest its rugged, off-road concept may influence future models.
In a recent interview with Motor1 at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, Lamborghini’s Chief Marketing and Sales Officer, Federico Foschini, indicated that the company remains interested in exploring the potential of the Sterrato concept for future vehicle lineups.
The recently unveiled Urus SE Performante, which debuted at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, features a dedicated Rally mode specifically engineered for loose surfaces. According to Lamborghini’s Chief Marketing and Sales Officer, Federico Foschini, this addition acknowledges that Urus owners are increasingly utilizing their vehicles for off-road applications.
Many Urus owners live in rural areas and use their vehicles for demanding tasks like towing horse trailers. We are increasingly designing our vehicles to offer the robust off-road capability our customers now demand alongside traditional road and track performance.
Lamborghini is considering future off-road models, noting that the Urus platform’s versatility allows for increased rugged capabilities similar to those of the Huracán Sterrato.
Lamborghini’s Federico Foschini noted the Urus platform’s flexibility allows for future off-road iterations similar to the Huracán Sterrato, enabling shifts between track performance and all-terrain capability through configuration adjustments.
Foschini highlights that the Huracán Sterrato’s success lies in Lamborghini’s core value of the unexpected. While not currently a priority, he confirmed the company remains open to revisiting the off-road formula for future models, proving the Sterrato’s story is far from over.
