Photos : Who Needs A Boat? Jetour G700 Ark Edition And Yangwang U8 Can Navigate Deep Water Seamlessly

China’s Yangwang and Jetour—two luxury brands under BYD and Chery respectively—are currently the only automakers that boast a technology allowing their models to float and navigate deep water seamlessly without cabin leakage.

Unlike the Emergency Float Mode found Yangwang U9 SUV—which allows it to float and drive in water for up to 30 minutes, the G700 redirects power away from the wheels to specialized electric propellers, enabling the vehicle to propel itself across water more effectively.

Much like the Yangwang U9’s Emergency Float Mode, Jetour emphasizes that this cutting-edge feature in the G700 Ark Edition is designed strictly for emergency situations like flash floods, rather than everyday boating.
