Anambra Police Nab Notorious Armed Robber, Stolen Toyota Corolla, Ammunitions Recovered

Police operatives in Anambra State nab notorious armed robber, stolen Toyota Corolla car, ammunitions recovered. 

Police operatives attached to the Command Rapid Response Squad (RRS) have arrested one Chidi Anieke ‘m’ aged about 30years. The arrest took place in Awada area of Mbu town in Isiuzo Local Government Area of Enugu State.

Suspect allegedly snatched a Toyota Corolla car belonging to the owner at Independence Layout Enugu while the victim was driving into his residence.

Consequently, the suspect drove the car to his hideout in Awada where he was subsequently arrested.

Exhibits recovered in his possession include the snatched Toyota Corolla Car with Reg No ENU 269 PH, one locally made double barrel shot gun and seven live cartridges. As the time of filling this report, investigation is ongoing.

It would be recalled that the Command Rapid Response Squad was unveiled on 12/11/2020 by His Excelency Governor Willie Obiano at the State Police Command headquarters Awka with the aim of responding to distress calls on heinous crimes and patrolling flashpoints in Anambra State in order to ensure safety and security in the State.
