Apala Singer, Musiliu Haruna Ishola, Poses With 1959 Buick Electra Owned By Former Balogun Of Ijebu Land
Apala Singer, Musiliu Haruna Ishola, the son of Haruna Ishola, poses with 1959 Buick Electra 225 – a luxury car at its time.
Vintage car belongs to Balogun Fasasi Adesoye, the then Balogun of Ijebu land, who passed away 64 years ago.
Buick Electra represents the height of the aircraft inspired period with wrap around windscreen, large tail fins.
Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe (Zik) had also been pictured being chauffeured around in a 1959 Buick Electra 225 Convertible.

Ahead of the recently held 2025 Ojude Oba festival that took place in Ijebu Ode on Sunday June 8, Apala singer, Musiliu Babatunde Haruna Ishola, took to his Instagram page to urge all Ijebu descent to come for the annual cultural and religious celebration.
In a video shared by the singer, Musiliu, the son of “father of Apala Music”, Haruna Ishola Bello, was seen standing next to a 1959 Buick Electra 225, a vintage car which caught the attention of Autojosh and some of his fans.

While Autojosh can’t say who owns this vintage car – a luxury car at its time, some commenters noted that the 1959 Buick Electra belongs to Balogun Fasasi Adesoye, the then Balogun of Ijebu land, who passed away 64 years ago in 1961.

“The car is in ijebu ode. Owned by the late Balogun Fasasi Adesoye. The then Balogun of Ijebu land. The car is there in his compound at oke ijasi in ijebu ode…”, the user wrote.
“Make una stop to Dey misinform people. If you don’t know, you keep your mouth shot,” the user added, countering the misleading information from another user that the car is in Ijebu Igbo.

Still standing from a long-term storage, this 1959 Buick Electra 225 luxury represents the height of the aircraft inspired period with wrap around windscreen and large tail fins.
Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe (Zik) had also been pictured being chauffeured around in a luxury 1959 Buick Electra 225 Convertible. Zik was Governor General of Nigeria from 1960 to 1963 and the first president of Nigeria during the First Nigerian Republic (1963–1966).
