Moscow-based Armouring and professionals, RIDA Cars, has announced a stretched and armored version of the Aurus Komendant SUV that it plans to be introduced in 2024.
The stretched and armored Aurus Komendant will not only provide enough legroom for rear seat passengers but will also address threats been faced by Head of states, Presidents and individuals all over the world.
To provide the space and comfort its customers desire, the wheelbase of the Komendant will be extended by 500 mm (+19.68 inch) to reach 5880 mm.
A VR7+/VR8 protection rating means the Aurus Komendant SUV will keep passengers safe from incendiary bullets and blasts from DM51 grenade explosions.
So far, RIDA has only provided one image of the modified Komendant, showing just the exterior part of the SUV. But the exclusive interior of the stretched armored SUV may likely come equipped with Smart-Screen and a Centre console to control some of the features.
First unveiled last October, the Komendant SUV named after the Commandant tower of the Kremlin in Moscow, joins the Arsenal minivan and the Senat limousine and sedan in Aurus’ expanding lineup.
Rida hasn’t announced pricing yet, but the base SUV starts at 33 million 700 thousand rubles or $559,800 dollars, making the Aurus Komendant even more expensive than the Rolls-Royce Cullinan, which starts at $351,000.
