BMW and Kith unveil one-off fashion-inspired XM SUV and 1981 M1 E26 by Ronnie Fieg at the 2024 edition of Miami’s Art Basel.

While the BMW M1 E26 by Ronnie Fieg will remain a one-of-a-kind model, BMW plans to make 47 units of the XM Kith models.

XM Kith features a chassis that has been widened by 40mm on each axle and lowered by 30mm at the front and 35mm at the rear.





Inside, Kith touches can be found on the motorsport seats and on the door sills, along with a “1/47” insignia noting each car’s rarity.

New York City streetwear brand, Kith, in partnership with BMW, has debuted a special-edition 2025 BMW XM Kith Concept and a one-off custom 1981 M1 sports car at the 2024 edition of Miami’s Art Basel.

Finished in Techno Violet, both one-of-a-kind cars pay homage to a spectacular BMW colour from the 1990s. While the 1981 BMW M1 E26 by Ronnie Fieg will remain a one-of-a-kind model, BMW plans to make 47 units of the XM Kith models – a nod to the number of years since the M1 debuted.





Available in two colors : Frozen Techno Violet or Frozen Black, the limited-edition 2025 BMW XM Kith features a chassis that has been widened by 40mm on each axle and lowered by 30mm at the front and 35mm at the rear.

Inside, the front seats have been replaced with carbon-motorsport seats featuring Kith monogram-embossed black Merino leather and illuminated headrest badges.

Kith M-Series badges are also featured on the trunk door and the carbon fiber center console. In addition, Illuminated Kith artwork is also featured on the door sills, along with a “1/47” insignia noting each car’s rarity.

Like the base XM, the XM Kith is powered by a plug-in-hybrid powertrain, which puts out 748-horsepower, and allows a 0-60 mph in 3.6 seconds and an electronically limited speed of 155 mph or 175 mph if owners opt for the optional M Driver’s Package.
