BRT Bus Set Ablaze Following Head-on Collision With Commercial Bus, Killing The Danfo Driver Instantly
BRT bus set ablaze by hoodlums following an head-on collision with a commercial bus, killing the danfo driver instantly.
The tragic incident, which was confirmed by LASTMA, happened at Ifako inward Ogudu area of the State.
LASTMA revealed that the commercial bus somersaulted twice and that the danfo bus driver died instantly.
Lagos Traffic Management Authority further revealed that the incident was as a result of loss of control due to over speeding.

A BRT bus belonging to the Lagos State Bus Service Limited was set ablaze by hoodlums on Wednesday morning following an head-on collision with a commercial bus at Ifako inward Ogudu area of the State, killing the Danfo Driver instantly.
In a statement posted to its Twitter handle confirming the tragic incident, the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), said that its operatives rescued 7 passengers with various degrees of injuries following the crash.

LASTMA further revealed that the commercial bus somersaulted twice and that the danfo driver died instantly following the seriousness of the collision which was as a result of loss of control due to over speeding.

The statement read :
“LASTMA has carried out series of enlightenment campaigns warning motorists particularly commercial bus drivers to stop over speeding and adhere strictly to speed limit signs erected by government across the State”
“While other emergency responders including Traffic Police Officers supported Officials of LASTMA at the accident scene, on hearing of the death of the commercial driver whose body was lying beside the upturned commercial bus, hoodlums in the area set ablaze the bus belonging to the Lagos State Bus Service Limited.”
