Bugatti Just Restored This 2010 Prototype That Helped Launched Veyron Super Sport “World Record Edition”
Bugatti just restored this 2010 prototype that helped launched Veyron Super Sport “World Record Edition”.
During its tour around the globe, this development vehicle was used for customer demonstrations, media engagements and photoshoot.
During the six-month restoration, Bugatti’s La Maison Pur Sang team restored the prototype car into a production-spec vehicle.
This Veyron Super Sport “World Record Edition” has now began a new chapter within one loyal Bugatti owner’s collection.

Bugatti has restored a pre-series example of the exclusive Veyron 16.4 Super Sport “World Record Edition” that was launched to celebrate Veyron Super Sport’s record-breaking top-speed of 431.072 km/h (267.856 mph) set in 2010.
This particular pre-series example played a central role during the introduction of the limited-edition Veyron Super Sport “World Record Edition”. During its tour around the globe, it was used for customer demonstrations, media engagements and photoshoot.

Before Bugatti’s official La Maison Pur Sang restoration and certification program gave it a new lease of life, this working development vehicle has accumulated over 70,800 km (43,992 miles) since summer 2010.

During the six-month restoration, Bugatti specialists upgraded the interior while the exposed carbon fiber bodywork was completely refinished and its distinctive Bugatti orange paintwork was carefully renewed.
Following the successful restoration of the prototype car into a production-spec vehicle, Bugatti said that the Veyron Super Sport “World Record Edition” will now begin a new chapter within one loyal Bugatti owner’s collection.

In addition, the owner will also be gifted a dedicated Bugatti certification book documenting the vehicle’s unique history, its exquisite refurbishment journey in Molsheim, and the role it has played within the marque’s illustrious story.
“Bugatti hyper sports cars are engineered to be driven, experienced and enjoyed. Through La Maison Pur Sang, we ensure that even vehicles with a rich and active history can be restored to the same standard they possessed when they first left Molsheim,” said Luigi Galli, an Heritage & Certification Expert at Bugatti.
