Commissioner for Special Duties tours Lagos Fire Stations, presents Fire Fighting Truck to Park View Residents Association.

The Commissioner for Special Duties and Intergovernmental Relations, Honourable Gbenga Oyerinde has embarked on a familiarization tour to the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service (LSFRS), starting from the Headquarters of LSFRS in Alausa Ikeja.
Speaking during that tour on Thursday, the Commissioner thanked the Director of LSFRS, Mrs. Margaret Adeseye and her team of dedicated Professionals for their efforts, stating that the purpose of the tour was to allow him to gain valuable insights into the operations of the agency.

In his words :
“This visit underscores the Lagos State Government’s commitment to its emergency response and safety infrastructure. It serves as a testament to the government’s pledge to continuously support and strengthen agencies like LSFRS, which play a crucial role in public order and safety of the Sanwo-Olu Administration’s THEMES Plus Agenda”.

The Commissioner for Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Relations, Hon. Olugbenga Oyerinde on Thursday handed over a brand new fire fighting truck to the Park View Residents’s Association.
Speaking during the presentation held at the Fire Service Headquarters, Alausa, Oyerinde said the gesture is a demonstration of the administration’s commitment to swift response to emergencies.

Ogunrinde recalled that last year, Governor Sanwo-Olu employed over 425 firefighters in the fire service and procured 62 firefighting apparatus for optimal emergency responses to emergencies in the state.
He said he was confident that the presence of the fire truck would have a positive impact on the safety of the Park View community and its environment, just as he urged Park View residents to take ownership and make good use of the truck.
