Democracy Day: Moment President Tinubu slipped while mounting the parade vehicle at the Eagles Square in Abuja.
Despite the incident, President Tinubu still mounted the special parade vehicle for the inspection of guards.
The customized ceremonial parade vehicle President Tinubu rode in is a based on the Mercedes-Benz G-Class.
President Bola Tinubu tripped and fell while mounting the presidential parade vehicle on Wednesday June 12 (today) during the Democracy Day celebration at the Eagle Square in Abuja.
In a footage shared, Tinubu was seen trying to mount the ceremonial vehicle before missing his steps, forcing his security details and aides to rush to get him up.
Despite the incident, President Tinubu still mounted the special parade vehicle for the inspection of guards to mark the 25th year of stable democratic system in the country.
Reacting to the incident, the Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Social Media, Dada Olusegun, said :
“Mr President missed his step while climbing into the truck at the June 12 Democracy Day celebration and tripped. It was a mild misstep. He immediately went on with the ceremonial rounds. No issues”
The customized ceremonial parade vehicle that President Tinubu rode in to inspect the guard of honour at the Eagles Square is a based on the Mercedes-Benz G-Class, popularly known as G-Wagon.
