The driver of a Toyota FJ Cruiser reportedly escaped with minor injuries after being ejected from the SUV and sent nearly 16 feet (5m) above during a reckless driving on a sandy beach in Kuwait.

The terrifying moment the driver was ejected from the vehicle was caught on camera, showing the importance of seatbelts, which the 34-year-old wasn’t wearing at the time.

While the driver reportedly escaped with only minor injuries, the same cannot be said for the Toyota FJ Cruiser SUV, judging by the photos of the aftermath that surfaced online.

According to the Arab Times, the crashed Toyota FJ Cruiser was later dragged out from the sea by the fire department, and then seized by the police.

The badly damaged and flooded SUV is likely completely totaled, following the multiple times it flipped over and the time it spent in the saltwater before being retrieved by the authorities.
