Drunk Sienna Driver Dies In A Lone Accident, LASTMA Recover 15 Sachets Of Alcoholic ‘Gin’
Drunk Toyota Sienna driver dies in a lone car accident in Lagos as LASTMA rescues three injured occupants.
Preliminary inquiries indicate that the deceased driver was under the influence of alcohol, according to LASTMA.
During rescue operations, LASTMA recovered N48,200 and 15 sachets of alcoholic gin inside the Sienna car.
Reacting to the incident, LASTMA boss appealed to the motoring public not to drink while driving.

The driver of a Toyota Sienna (KTU 666 JP) reportedly “Driving Under The Influence” (DUI) lost their life in a lone car accident on Thursday at Conoil inward Secretariat along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
While the tragic incident resulted in the untimely demise of the driver, three other occupants — two males and one female — suffered severe injuries, according to the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA).

“During rescue operations, LASTMA officials who swiftly responded as first responder recovered N48,200, phone and 15 sachets of alcoholic gin inside the Sienna car.
Responding with commendable swiftness, personnel of the Lagos State Ambulance Services (LASAMBUS) administered first aid to the injured victims before transporting them to the Lagos State Accident & Emergency Centre at Toll Gate for urgent medical intervention.
Expressing deep regret over the tragic incident, LASTMA General Manager, Mr. Olalekan Bakare-Oki, extended his profound condolences to the bereaved family and wished the injured victims a swift and full recovery.
He further issued a stern admonition to motorists, urging them to eschew alcohol consumption while driving, emphasizing that reckless and impaired driving remains a perilous menace to lives and property.
