Ex-Osun Gov Pardons Man Who Tried To Assassinate Him In 2006, Shares Photos Of His Bruised G-Class

Former Osun State Governor Aregbesola pardons man who tried to assassinate him 19 years ago .
Aregbesola also shared photos of a Mercedes-Benz G-Class (G-Wagon) with deep dents on the exterior.
The boxy SUV is believed to have saved the former Governor’s live at the time of the attack.
The alleged assassination attempt happened four years before being elected as governor of Osun State.
Former Governor of Osun State, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, said he has pardoned one of the men who attempted to assassinate him during the 2006 Oroki Day Celebration in Osogbo.
Taken to his Instagram page, the former Minister of Interior disclosed he met with his attacker, Sikiru Olaboye, after calling a local radio station in Osogbo to ask for his pardon.

“Today, while praying for him, I assured him that I hold no grudges against him or anyone else involved. I neither harboured resentment nor sought revenge after God spared me from that attack.
“It is God alone who has the power to forgive all our shortcomings. As His servants, I pray that He forgives both his and mine, Aameen!”
Aregbesola also shared photos of their meeting and that of a Mercedes-Benz G-Class (G-Wagon) with deep dents on the exterior. The boxy SUV is believed to have saved the former Governor’s live at the time of the attack.
The alleged assassination attempt happened four years before being elected as governor of Osun State. Aregbesola served as Governor from 2010 to 2018.
