The high-performance Mercedes-AMG GT 63 PRO 4MATIC+ will make its official debut this weekend at the Formula 1 AWS Hungarian Grand Prix in Budapest, serving as the 14th official FIA F1 Safety Car to bear the three-pointed star.
Fully kitted and ready to lead the F1 field, the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 PRO 4MATIC+ replaces the Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series. The outgoing model served as the Official FIA F1 Safety Car since 2022, completing 51 races.

Since June 30, 1996, Mercedes-Benz and Mercedes-AMG have supplied the Official FIA F1 Safety Car, a tradition launched with the deployment of the Mercedes-Benz C 36 AMG models.

To mark 30 years of Mercedes-AMG vehicles in Formula 1, the modified Mercedes-AMG GT 63 PRO 4MATIC+ safety car will feature a special anniversary livery at the Hungarian Grand Prix.
Distinct features of the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 PRO 4MATIC+ includes signaling system at the rear wing, LED signal lights in the front section, as well as in the front and rear lights—all fitted to increase visibility during racing.

Like the F1 Cars, the GT 63 PRO 4MATIC+ safety cars runs on Pirelli P Zero R tyres, designed for track performance. The ultra-high-performance tyres are developed in collaboration with Mercedes-AMG at the Nürburgring and Nardò.
At the heart of the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 PRO 4MATIC+ is a 4.0-liter V8 biturbo engine, which delivers 450 kW (612 hp) and a maximum torque of 850 Nm. This power is transmitted via the AMG Speedshift MCT 9G transmission.
