Teen shot dead by seller after choosing not to buy car he saw advertised on Facebook Marketplace.

After inspection, the teen and his friend opted against purchasing the car. As they drove away, the seller allegedly shot at their car.

A car-loving teen, Carlos Carrazana Ricardo, was fatally shot last month while driving away after deciding not to buy a car he saw advertised on Facebook Marketplace from a would-be seller.

According to police, the 18 year old and his unnamed friend made a 80-mile drive from Lancaster, Pennsylvania to West Baltimore to inspect a 2006 Acura TL they wanted to purchase.

After the inspection, they opted against purchasing the car. As they drove away, the seller allegedly shot at their car, hitting Carrazana-Ricardo, who was driving at the time, in the head, according to court records.

Ricardo’s friend reportedly jumped into the driver’s seat and took over driving, before eventually crashing the car. Medics took Ricardo to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where he succumbed to his injuries, according to police.

Following the incident on November 26, 2023, detectives arrested the would-be seller, an 18-year-old Marques Harris, who has now been charged with 1st-degree murder and multiple handgun violations.
