FMITI, NADDC Unveil Vehicles Assembled In Nigeria (Photos And Video)

His Excellency, Otunba Niyi Adebayo, Honourable Minister of Federal Ministry Of Industry, Trade And Investment (FMITI) and the Director-General of the National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC), Jelani Aliyu MFR, have revealed and presented to Nigerians a parade of locally assembled vehicles to showcase the successes of the Ministry. The event took place on March 9,2020, at the Abuja Chambre of Commerce (ACCI), Abuja.
Also present at the unprecedented event was the Honourable Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr Isa Ali Pantami, the Permanent Secretary, FMITI, Dr Sani Gwarzo, NADDC Board Chairman, Distinguished Senator Osita Izumaso, Chairman House Committee on Industry, Honourable Dolapo Badiru, and Ambassador Usman Baraya who represented the Kebbi State government.
Also present were representative of various automotive companies in Nigeria. They have shown incredible commitment to the nation’s economy by setting up assembly plants for the vehicles showcased. This endeavour has created over 5,000 direct jobs and by extension, over 50,000 jobs along the value chain in Nigeria.
