Ford Registered Mach 4 Name Which Seems To Be A 4 Door Mustang
Ford has registered the name ‘Mach 4’ in the United States, likely for a four-door Ford Mustang. Yes, it seems that this model is on the way.
With the Ford Mustang Mach-E, Ford has already shown that it is not afraid to slap the Mustang name on a car that has little to do with the pony car. It won’t stop at that electric SUV when it comes to the Mustang badge. Ford is preparing a true Mustang family. Car and Driver have picked up an important hint about the name of the next addition to the family.
Ford has registered the name ‘Mach 4’ with the American patent office USPTO. You don’t need much imagination to think of what that name would fit well: a four-door Ford Mustang. That Ford is considering it has been known for some time.
If the Ford Mustang Mach 4 does indeed resemble the car above, then it is clear that it is a lot closer to the regular Ford Mustang than the Mustang Mach-E. The big question is whether it will also be a fuel car or an EV. It seems likely that it will be a fully electric car, which will have to compete with cars such as the Porsche Taycan.
