Geely Nigeria launches new ‘Coolray’ Compact SUV Into the market, comes in two trims, 5-year/150,000km warranty.
Geely Nigeria, a partnership between Mikano International and Geely Global, has launched a new sporty compact SUV model called the ‘Geely Coolray’.
During the launch of the car in Ogun State, the company’s Marketing Manager, Mrs Karima Okunola, said that the Coolray is set to become the most tech-filled, best in class crossover SUV on Nigerian roads.
She added the Mikano International and Geely Global had come together to build affordable cars in Nigeria in a bid to revitalize the Nigeria’s automotive industry.
She said :
“Geely Global is China’s largest independent automaker and the owners of Volvo Autos, the largest shareholder in AG Daimler (parent company for Mercedes Benz).
“With its launch, the Coolray, today, becomes the coolest and most tech-filled, best in class crossover SUV on Nigerian roads. The Coolray sports an impressive array of exceptional tech features and an innovative design built on Geely’s global – leading architecture – The B-segment Modular Architecture.”
According to Geely Nigeria, the Coolray is available to the Nigerian market in two trims. These includes the Coolray Dynamic GS and Coolray Sport + GF.
Powering the Coolray is a 1.5L turbo-charged direct-injection petrol engine, which produces 177ps at 5,500rpm. The Coolray will do a 0 to 100km/h in 7.9 seconds.
Geely Nigeria says Coolray is available for a pre-sale offer that comes with one-year premium comprehensive insurance and one-year free full service for the first 50 buyers.
“Geely Nigeria is opening a window of opportunity that makes premium experience a standard option with the Coolray.
“In addition, all Geely Nigeria cars come with a five-year/150,000km warranty, financing options/payment plans via our banking partners, readily available parts, world-class after-sales service and guaranteed resale value.”
