Genesis G80 Has Been Be Facelifted For 2024 With A New Interior Layout

The Hyundai Genesis was renamed the Genesis G80 in 2016. Hyundai Motor Company separated the model name from car brand Hyundai and turned it into a brand, seriously hampering the success of cars such as the BMW 5-series and Mercedes-Benz E-class, especially in its home country. Just under four years ago, Genesis pulled the curtains off the first truly new G80, which has been under the wings of Genesis from the start. That sleek fastback has now been presented in refined form in its home country, Korea.
From the outside, you probably have to look closely to see the differences from the almost four-year-old original. The facelift is therefore one according to the recipe that Genesis recently released on the GV80. The G80 has a subtly updated grille and new bumpers that should give the Genesis G80, even as a non-Sport version, a more dynamic appearance. The lighting at the front will also be changed. The dual-layer binoculars retain their shape but now have a more segmented design, including what Genesis calls ‘microlenses’. The taillights appear unchanged, although Genesis is bringing a redesigned rear bumper to its sedan. The exhaust tips are no longer visible. There is no facelift without new alloy wheels, so the refined G80 also gets them.
Enough subtlety, because in the interior of the new Genesis G80, the differences with the original are much greater. Apart from the door panels, everything here is completely different. The traditional concept-covered instrument panel and the separate infotainment screen placed centrally in the dashboard make way for a panel with a diameter of 27 inches without a canopy that replaces them both. The steering wheel is new, the center tunnel has been redesigned, and even the center part of the dashboard has been thoroughly changed. Once again, the vents of the ventilation system have been visually concealed in a strip that runs across the entire width of the dashboard. However, this strip has been placed lower than before. Also completely new is the button island and the accompanying display with which you control the climate control, among other things.
