Maextro, an ultra-luxury electric vehicle brand created by Chinese tech giant Huawei and JAC Group, has officially revealed the interior of its first model, the Maextro S800 – ahead of market launch at the 2025 Shenzhen Auto Show in May.

First unveiled at Huawei’s new product launch event on 26 November 2024, where pre-orders opened, the new Maextro S800 luxury sedan is set to steal Mercedes-Maybach, NIO and Rolls-Royce’s customers in the lucrative Chinese market.

Sitting on a Wheelbase of 3370 mm, the imposing electric sedan is 5480 mm long, 2000 mm wide and 1536 mm high – placing the S800 in the top 0.01% of vehicles on the road in terms of size.

The exterior features silver-purple two-tone paint and elements such as vertical and horizontal headlights with starry elements, which can also be found on its door handles, and interior ceiling.

Inside, premium features includes Panoramic starry sky roof for the second row, Rear projection screen, Fixed track system, Folding tables, Refrigerator compartment and a fingerprint-secured password box for storing valuable items.

The Maextro S800 comes in two variants : a battery electric vehicle (BEV) and an extended-range electric vehicle (EREV), the latter which has a 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine that is not mechanically connected to the wheels.

S800 boasts a 63.25 kWh battery pack and 800V electrical architecture that allows for a 10-80% charge time of 10.5 minutes for an electric-only CLTC range rating of 272–371 km (169–231 miles), depending on the model.

When it arrives in the market, the Maextro S800 will be the largest EV sedan in China and it will rival all-electric luxury models like the 2026 Mercedes-Maybach EQS and Nio ET9.

With pre-sale prices ranging from RMB 1 million ($137,230) and RMB 1.5 million ($205,800), the Maextro S800 is also set to become one of the most expensive vehicles produced in China.
