Hyundai Celebrates A Special Milestone As They Built Its 100 Millionth

Hyundai has reached a special milestone. In Ulsan, South Korea, the manufacturer has built its 100 millionth passenger car.
Hyundai has reason to celebrate because the production counter of its car division now stands at one hundred million. One hundred with another six zeros after it. 100,000,000. Let that number sink in. Even if they were all Hyundai i10s and you were to line them all up, you would circle the earth about nine times.
Hyundai has spent just under 57 years on that enormous number. In 1968, the South Koreans started producing passenger cars. The first was the Ford Cortina, which Hyundai assembled in Ulsan in collaboration with Ford. The hundred millionth car has now been built in that same place. That is a completely different story from the Ioniq 5N, developed by Hyundai and is quite impressive.
