LASTMA said that the incident resulted led to a minimal traffic congestion along the axis.
At least 10 passengers were injured earlier today after a fully-loaded high-capacity Lagos Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) bus fell on its side inside the dedicated BRT lane at Iyana Ipaja, Lagos.
“A fully loaded high capacity bus fell on its side inside the dedicated lane (BRT lane) with a record of 10 casualties (Victims), in which they were taken care of,” the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) said in a traffic report on its Twitter handle.
While giving an update of the incident, LASTMA said the bus ran into an abandoned pedestrian bridge foot immediately after the Iyana Ipaja bridge, causing it to tip over on its side.
The incident resulted led to a minimal traffic congestion along the axis, though LASTMA said efforts were underway to remove the vehicle.
