Lagos receives Peugeot 107 hatchback driven by Pelumi Nubi from London to Lagos – to be displayed at museum.
The 28-year-old Nigerian travel content creator donated the car to J Randle Centre For Yoruba Culture, History.
During her meeting with Sanwo-Olu, the 28-year-old travel content creator was presented with a brand new GAC-branded SUV.
The Lagos State Government on Sunday April 28th received the Peugeot 107 Hatchback driven by Pelumi Nubi from London to Lagos at J Randle Centre for Yoruba Culture and History, Onikan Lagos Island.
The car was received by the Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mrs. Oloruntoyin Atekoja on behalf of the Honourable Commissioner, Mrs. Toke Benson-Awoyinka.
Speaking at the event, Mrs. Oloruntoyin Atekoja said that Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu was pleased with Miss Pelumi Nubi for taking such a single bold step.
She stressed that Pelumi whose resilient spirit to survive against all odds is such an inspiration worthy to be emulated.
“This is the reason the State Government has given its unwavering support to her as well as making her a ‘Lagos Tourism Ambassador”.
According to a statement by the Lagos State Government, the Peugeot 107 will be kept in the museum for historical purposes to serve as an iconic tourism asset.
It will be recalled that Pelumi Nubi agreed to donate her car to State-owned J Randle Centre For Yoruba Culture, History when she met with Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Monday April 8th.
During their meeting at the Government House, Marina, the 28-year-old travel content creator was also presented with a brand new GAC-branded SUV.
In addition, the Lagos State Government also gave her an apartment in Lagos, took over her entire bill for the trip and made her Lagos Tourism Ambassador.
