LASG Inaugurates 10 LASAMBUS Ambulance Points To Boost Emergency Healthcare
Lagos State Government inaugurates 10 LASAMBUS ambulance points to boost emergency healthcare.
New facilities located in Agege, Agbowa, Masha (Surulere), Badagry, Mile 2, Epe, Shomolu, Igando, Iba and Ibeju-Lekki.
LASAMBUS also boast of an ultra-modern ambulance fleets consisting of Mobile Intensive Care Unit (MICU) ambulances.

In a move to improve emergency healthcare delivery, the Lagos State Government, through the Lagos State Ambulance Service (LASAMBUS), has inaugurated 10 newly constructed pre-fabricated ambulance points across the state.
Designed to last over 50 years, the new mobile facilities are located in Agege, Agbowa, Masha (Surulere), Badagry, Mile 2, Epe, Shomolu, Igando, Iba, and Ibeju-Lekki. They are part of a broader effort to enhance pre-hospital care and reduce emergency response times.

At the commissioning ceremony, held at the Agege LASAMBUS Point, Special Adviser to the Governor on Health, Dr. Kemi Ogunyemi, described the development as a landmark achievement in line with the Sanwo-Olu administration’s THEMES+ agenda.

“These new ambulance points represent not just infrastructure, but hope and access to lifesaving care,” Dr. Ogunyemi said.
“We’re locating ambulances closer to the people to cut down the time it takes to get medical help in critical situations.”
The Lagos State Ambulance Service also boast of an ultra-modern ambulance fleets consisting of Mobile Intensive Care Unit (MICU) Ambulances, Transport Ambulances and trained and motivated staff.



Inauguration of the new 10 ambulance points comes a week after LASAMBUS announced it achieved an impressive 97.5% response rate to emergency calls between 2021 and 2025, responding to 44,152 out of 45,277 calls received.
According to LASAMBUS, 36,919 patients were treated during the review period, including Zero Transit Deaths. It said 11,200 of this figure was in 2023 alone, reflecting the team’s consistent responsiveness even during peak demand.
